I know, I know - it's been a while. I've been in the studio, working wildly like a crazed lunatic. Good news: lots of mixes and music coming out soon! Like this one for instance:

Originally recorded in March of 2011 - this was intended to be released as part of a double CD. Since this was so wildly different than the rest of the collection, I decided to release this as its own podcast. Enjoy!

Originally recorded for and airing on QNation.FM on October 1st, 2010 - I've gotten a lot of requests to put this online. After getting clearance from the station to use it I decided to post it here to share with all of you.
Much like EP 10, this one is all over the place: minimal, tech, electro, breaks, techno, house, tribal, classic Chicago house and some nu-disco. Wanted to keep it fun and interesting for the radio.

Hey everyone! After a few months off from Sound Sessions - we're back with all new shows. I recorded "The Return to Sound Sessions" broadcast and split it up into two separate episodes.

I have gotten a lot of feedback on EP 8 (Late Night on Main) so I wanted to create a follow up mix - something mellower, heady, soulful that buils up into something a little harder and melodic.

Here is part 2. It's a little harder, darker than part 1 was/is. Hope you likee! Enjoy!

Hey friends. Was mixing/listening to some new and old tracks a few weeks ago and hit the record button. Handed out a couple of copies to friends and they suggested I put it online.

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay. Things have been a little crazy these last few months -life changes, unexpected trips, moving the studio. But, things are finally starting to settle down and gt back to normal, whatever that is.
As I begin to record new podcasts, I've decided to post some old mixes on here as well. This mix was recorded live in Los Angeles back in the early 2000's (that still doesn't roll off the tongue easily). The first in an ongoing series of mixes dedicated to house in its purest form. I'll post the rest of the series, and new additions, in the upcoming months.
This CD was inspired by the house scene in LA. This was an amazing time in my life and in LA. Free, Gabba, the legendary late nights and early mornings of "Does Your Mama Know," the birth of Deep on Sundays. This mix and its songs captures some wonderful memories for me: Dubtribe, Kings of Tomorrow, Masters at Work, my remix of Murk's Every Now & Then, Deep Swing, Jamiroquai. This was a magical time for me, Los Angeles, and music - and I'm happy I get to share it with you. I hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane. Enjoy!

Hey everyone. Welcome to EP 8. This is one of those moments where everything just falls into place. I didn't put any planning behind this mix - I just walked into the studio, slapped some headphones on, hit record and went for it. And I'm glad I did. Reminiscent of the mixes I use to drop at Milwaukee's Park Bar3, there's a lot of tribal Latin rhythms; deep soulful vocals; and some banging beats in here. No electro, no gimmicks, just pure house music. Some people call it getting back to basics; I call it getting back to house. And it feels good to be home.

For this podcast, I decided to dig out a mix I released a few years ago on CD. This is one my favorite mixes. Inspired by chic ultra lounges, it starts off with a slow, sexy vibe and then builds up from there. I play everything from downtempo trip hop to tech to tribal and bring in some acid house. Rounding out the mix, I end things with one of my favorite drum and bass tracks of all time. This is the kind of mix you put on when you just want to chill, whether you're staying in for the night getting some loving, or just getting in the next morning from going out.
